Metal slug psp code#
i want the code to work perfectly like in the MVSPSPĪbout the Fat Body code for Metal Slug X, i couldn't make it work, it seems that there's some kind of code restriction in certain levels that enables FAT, because if you activate the cheat in level 1, 2, the 3rd part of the level 5 (after the train) and after the second part of level 6 (where the mars people are) the character just freezes and doesn't move at all, but if you do it in levels 3,4, and 1st and 2nd part of level 5 it works perfectly. it's really annoying and i want to fix it. Afterm shooting several times or throwing bombs, the character reverts to the normal body for a second and then becomes fat again. the character does become fat, but it doesn't remain like this all the time. unlike the Fat Body cheat for the MVSPSP (Neo Geo emulator for the PSP) that works flawlessly, in the anthology the code, for some reason, is unstable. Well, about the codes i've created, there's one that doesn't work in Metal Slug X,3,4 and 5. there's a couple codes i still need to find, but i also have tons of ideas to give these amazing games even more replay value and variety (the problem is, that i don't know a thing about hacking nor programming, but i'm getting there) i hope someone can help me and teach me about hacking and findind specific adresses and values, i would thank you a lot. These days i've been creating some codes for the Metal Slug Anthology for the PSP. i hope someone who is experience and knows a lot can help me. The game comes out in Japan on December 23, with a probable U.S. As any Metal Slug (or Contra) player can tell you, run-and-gun shooters are much more fun with a partner.
Even if I had finished the DS original, this port would warrant a second go-round if for no other reason than the multiplayer. Metal Slug XX looks terrific and felt very comfortable, if a bit cramped, on the PSP. I suspect it's a combination of buttons I neglected to try, but the triangle button seemed to do nothing.

Likewise, I have long since forgotten how to exit the tank or set it to self-destruct. The classic shoot, jump and grenade buttons are all there, and the shoulder buttons handle weapons swapping, but I couldn't figure out how to activate Ralf's Vulcan Punch. Taking in all of that visual information can be a challenge, especially when you're expected to fight your way through rather than simply watch.Īlthough all of the basic button commands are easy to figure out, one element of the controls also left me a bit confused. The giant serpentine drill machine that stands guard over the end of Level 1 has countless moving parts, and each segment of the machine is its own individual sprite. Food that is left unclaimed will rot after a few seconds. Vehicles don't merely explode and disappear, they break down first and then explode in a burst of animation.

Besides the army of enemies and their various projectiles, Metal Slug XX is full of the little touches that make this series so distinct.

That said, a PSP screen is still an awfully tiny viewing area when you consider how much is happening on screen in a Metal Slug game.
